چکیده
Background: Surgical removal of malignancies may enhance the risk recurrence but mechanisms remain poorly understood. Neutrophils, first line responders after surgical stress, can facilitate cancer progression. Neutrophils expel nuclear DNA studded with proteins to form web-like structures known as Neutrophil Extracellular Traps (NETs) in response stress. Here we aim characterize role NETs promoting metastatic growth stress that is currently entirely unknown. Methods: We used a standardized mouse model partial hepatic ischemia reperfusion, stimulate directly or five days splenic injection MC38 colon carcinoma cells. Results: found NET formation significantly increased immediate post-operative period humans undergoing curative liver resection for colorectal metastases. The metastases was 4.22 times higher patients formation. In murine model, demonstrated deposition and this associated both already established micrometastatic disease. vitro, increase growth, invasion, migration adhesion multiple cell lines. All above effects were abrogated by inhibition DNAse. exert their pro-tumorigenic releasing HMGB1 activating TLR-9 dependent pathways addition, tumors continue grow, hypoxia within tumor microenvironment induces further neutrophil recruitment accelerates growth. Conclusions: These findings implicate process metastasis progression surgery identifies potential therapeutic targets. Functional connectome fingerprinting: identifying individuals using patterns of brain connectivity
All individuals are unique. Nevertheless, human neuroimaging studies have traditionally collapsed data from many subjects to draw inferences about general patterns of brain activity that are common across people. Studies that contrast two populations—such as patients and healthy controls—typically ignore the considerable heterogeneity within each group. Despite the predominance of such populati...
متن کاملConnectotyping: Model Based Fingerprinting of the Functional Connectome
A better characterization of how an individual's brain is functionally organized will likely bring dramatic advances to many fields of study. Here we show a model-based approach toward characterizing resting state functional connectivity MRI (rs-fcMRI) that is capable of identifying a so-called "connectotype", or functional fingerprint in individual participants. The approach rests on a simple ...

in fact, this study focused on the following questions: 1. is there any difference between the effect of functional/notional approach and the structural approaches to language teaching on the proficiency test of efl learners? 2. can a rather innovative language test referred to as "functional test" ge devised so so to measure the proficiency test of efl learners, and thus be as much reliable an...

Let an unbiased coin be used to form an ω-sequence S of independent tosses. Let N be the positive integers. The finite initial segment of length n ∈ N is denoted by Sn (thus, S1 holds exactly the first toss). For n ∈ N , let Hn be the proportion of heads that show up in Sn. Pick a positive real number D, to be thought of as a number of standard deviations from the mean of the standard normal di...
